The University of Hawaii at Hilo’s College of Continuing Education and Community Service has developed a new “Presenting with Confidence” series led by instructor Christine Hijirida.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo’s College of Continuing Education and Community Service has developed a new “Presenting with Confidence” series led by instructor Christine Hijirida.

The workshops are comprised of two three-hour sessions that can be taken separately at a cost of $45 or bundled together as a single workshop for $80.

“How to Put Your Best Foot Forward as a Speaker” will teach participants how to build confidence by organizing their thoughts and information into an effective delivery.

Participants will learn why body language is important for a communicator to refine their presentations. The session is from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 17 in UH-Hilo’s K110.

“How to Reach Your Audience,” which looks at successful strategies to keep an audience engaged and energized, will be from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 24 in UH-Hilo’s K102.
